Florence Road Events offers bespoke wedding catering in Brighton and Sussex, creating seasonal, produce-led menus for relaxed, beautiful celebrations. From intimate gatherings to larger weddings, we design food that feels generous, thoughtful and truly memorable.

At the heart of everything we do is a belief that food is more than a meal, it’s a way to bring people together. Our shared-dining style encourages connection and conversation, bringing friends, family and loved ones together around the table to enjoy the simple joy of good food.

Our wedding menus are built around thoughtfully sourced ingredients, vibrant vegetables, wholesome grains, and sustainably sourced meat and fish. Each feast is centred around a beautiful main dish, surrounded by an abundance of seasonal, veg-packed sides designed to be passed, shared and enjoyed together.

Everything we serve is made fresh, from farm to table, with no preservatives or artificial colours. We take pride in crafting menus that feel abundant and nourishing, while remaining refined and well balanced, food that looks beautiful, tastes exceptional and feels right for the occasion.

Sustainability is always front of mind. We prioritise responsible sourcing, minimise waste, and celebrate vegetables, serving meat and fish in a considered way so that our weddings feel generous without compromising on our values.

And when the celebration winds down, any leftover food is carefully packed up for you and your guests to take home, because good food deserves to be enjoyed again.

Canapés: Based on £15pp

  • Mini spanakopita bites

  • Carrot and caraway crackers - carrot puree topped with fresh dill, vegetable crisp

  • Tempeh and red pepper harissa skewers - layered red pepper, tempeh, olives harissa

  • Aubergine rolls - cooked aubergine rolls stuffed with sugo filling and a fresh mint dip

  • Bruschetta with mushroom pate, thyme, lemon oil

  • Mushroom, thyme, sour cream, caramelised onion and pine nut tartlets

  • Hummus and caramelised onion crostini

  • Roasted cauliflower bites with mint dipping sauce

  • Glazed tofu bites, peanuts and ginger

  • Olive oil and sourdough crackers with pine nut cream, nectarine and rocket

  • Broad bean and basil bruschetta

We serve the main dishes in stages, starting with you breads and dips. This gives everyone time to enjoy the food at a relaxed pace — no rush, just good flavours and easy conversation. The number of dishes will be tailored to your chosen budget per guest, and we’ll talk through the options together to find the right fit.

Homemade sourdough - selection of, some focaccia, some brown/seeded, plain white

Chicken or Fish: Please choose one

  • Roast chicken, caramelised shallots, braised brown/green lentils, crème fraîche, fresh herbs

  • Roast chicken with capers, tomatoes, roasted garlic and herb salsa

  • Roast chicken with slow cooked borlotti/white beans, roasted onion, garlic, peppercorns

  • Whole roasted white fish, lemon, olive oil, parsley (this can be served on a platter with the bone or filleted prior to serving)

  • Slow cooked cod/hake with borlotti/white beans, garlic, giant tomatoes, herbs

  • Slow roasted trout with fennel and orange and pearl barley

  • Buttered leeks, honey and mustard dressing, ricotta, toasted hazelnuts

  • Multi colour tomato salad, pickled shallots, almonds, parsley salsa

  • Creamy white beans, chimichurri, pine nut parmesan

  • Braised lentils, garlic, herbs, whole roasted onions, yoghurt

  • Whole baked beetroots, feta, walnuts/seeds, tahini dressing

  • Jersey royal potatoes, brown butter, herbs

  • Roasted carrots, carrot top pesto, toasted nuts

  • Bulgar wheat, mushroom, feta and dill salad

  • 3 grain salad with roasted pumpkin, hazelnuts, herbs, yoghurt dressing

  • Crushed potato salad with pickled red onion, capers, lemon zest, olive oil and dijon emulsion

  • Seasonal greens; Swiss chard, cavolo nero, butter lettuce, spring onions, tahini vinaigrette

  • Whole baked squash with whipped feta, dukkah, crispy spring onions (whole)

  • White wine braised fennel and white beans, garlicky breadcrumbs

  • Fennel and citrus salad, toasted nuts, herbs, vinaigrette

  • Ricotta, pesto marinaded courgettes, parmesan, basil oil

  • Cos lettuce, green beans, black olives, yoghurt caper dressing, soft boiled eggs

Dessert:

All of our desserts are designed for sharing — served in the middle of each table for guests to help themselves to as much or as little as they like. We keep things light and sweet, offering a relaxed finish to the meal, knowing that the wedding cake is often just around the corner.
